C2, second videoconferences!

Second videoconference is already done! We have been doing a guessing activity about pets, giving some clues of their colour, their size, animal's classification, parts of their body and what could they do.

A SCARY STORY, theatre in English!

This week 4th5th and 6th graders had the chance to see the play "A Scary Story" based on the American author Edgar Allan Poe. We participated in the play and we had a great time!

GREEK MAGIC MYTHS, theatre in English C2!!!

The 4th of December we had the chance to watch the play "Magic myths" where we could learn a little bit about King Midas, Medusa, Marigold and Athena. Some of us participated in the play and had a lot of fun! It was great!

Videoconferences with Italy and France (4t5èA and 4t5èB)

We met our international friends in a videoconference!! We had a wonderful time asking each other questions about our countries. We got plenty of correct answers and now we can make the puzzles with the pictures of our team members. That was great fun!

WHAT'S GOING ON IN CICLE 3?

In the first term of the school year we've learned a lot! We've learned how to describe ourselves and a friend, how to give directions to get to a place in the city and how to describe the position of an object. Here you have a video with some of the activities.

ETWINNING PROJECTS 4th5th AND 6th GRADES

We have started this school year with two new eTwinning projects.

4th5th graders are working on “Life in a Castle”, a project related to the one the students are doing with their regular teachers. We are sharing this project with a school in France and another in Italy. We will learn how kings, queens, monks, nobles and peasants lived in the Middle Ages.

6ht graders are working on “The World Explorers’ Club”, a project related to the refugees. We are sharing this project with schools from Caldes de Malavella, Italy, Slovenia, Romania and Lebanon. We will learn how difficult it is to start a new life in a different country.

These are some of the videoconferences the 6th graders have done so far with Caldes, Slovenia and Italy. We had to complete the missing words of a letter to get to know what our projects is about.

eTwinning 2nd CD and 3rd C - 2018/19

C2 has already started the eTwinning project!!

2nd and 3rd graders have started the eTwinnig project this week. They talk to the other school colleagues asking and answering questions such as "what's your name?", "how old are you?", "where are you from?" "what's the weather like?" and "what is this? (while showing some classroom materials).

Tristan Cardew interview

4th graders interviewed Tristan Cardew, a professional photographer and cyclist, two weeks ago. They were preparing some questions in groups to ask Tristan personally, in order to get some more information from him and know him better. The result is here, scroll down to find the videos.

Syrian refugees - 6th grade

Our 6th graders also wrote a card to some Syrian refugees who are studying in Lebanon. We sent them our love and hope in beautiful cards. Enjoy!

Videoconference 5thA and Romania

We finally had the chance to have a videoconference with our last group of 5th grade with Romania.

First, the students introduced themselves and then we asked them questions about our country and our international partners had to search for the information and answer them. We did the same with their questions. We had a great time!!


 

PREPARING AN INTERVIEW

4th graders are preparing an interview to our next week guest. They are working in groups, using some verbs and question words that they've learned. Be aware for further information to discover who is the misterious person... :)

Beauty and the Beast

Last week, we had a great time listening to the musical "Beauty and the Beast". We had previously learnt some of the songs in class and we were able to sing along with the wonderful actors and actresses. Some of us also had the chance to be on stage with them.

School camp rocks!

I have a game for you!

Last week we celebrated the Cultural Week. It was about games from all over the world. Sixth graders learned how to play Awalé and shared it with 'Cicle 2' students. Older students were very patient telling the instructions and younger students listened carefully. We had a great time learning this African game! Look at the pictures:

In second and third grade we've been learning about food. We played 'Find someone who...'. Everybody was participating and speaking in English.

DECORATING EGG CARTONS

In sixth grade we've been decorating some egg cartons to play AWALE. We made a collage using pulse. We also prepared a presentation of the game to explain it to Cicle 2 during the Cultural week.

Easter Scape Room

In second and third grade we celebrated Easter and Spring time playing a fun Scape Room. We received a letter from the Easter Bunny: he had a surprise for us inside a misterious box we found in the English classroom. The box was completely locked and we had to discover the password. We opened the box and... SURPRISE! SOME DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE EGGS WERE WAITING FOR US!

THE TIME

4th graders have started learning the hours by creating their own clocks. They are going to work the routines and the time for a while by doing different activities related to it.
