Hello C1! April showers bring May flowers!

 This time we have worked on Clothes, but as you know, Spring is an unpredictable season. Sometimes it's rainy and sometimes it's sunny. So, we have seen Winter and Summer clothes!!

Hello C2!

As usual, we have been working hard, and of course, having fun! The last few months we have

been travelling around the Solar System, we have been in an Easter Egg Hunt, and now we are

working on Jobs.

However, we have something important to tell you, something that makes English even easier!

Did you know that a 40% of the words in English are very similar to Catalan and Spanish?

Yeeeees! If you don’t believe us, look at these words:

Music, Class, Director, Animal, Artist, Alarm, Dinosaur, Different, Galaxy, Astronaut.

Are these Catalan, Spanish or English words? If you understand them, then you can speak English!

Hello C1!

Time flies when you are having fun! We have left the cold winter behind and we say “Hello” to a more colourful season, it’s spring time!!! Hurray!!

These days we have been working on families. Are all families the same? What do you think? We have discovered that in C1 we have different families. You can have one mum, one dad, two mums or two dads. Maybe you have brothers, sisters or cousins. You can be raised by your grandmother or your grandfather and of course, you can have pets: a cat, a dog, a spideeeeeeer!!!

It is also Easter time and, of course, we did an EASTER EGG HUNT!! C1 students could find all the hidden eggs and then they decorated their own Easter eggs!

eTwinning 6th grade

This month we are learning a lot about our seas and oceans. We shared some pictures of our beaches and we described them to our mates. We also created some "sandfriends" with Chatterpix and we cried out for help through these characters, asking our family and friends to take care of our oceans, seas and beaches.

And to learn even more about the problems our planet faces, we were very lucky to get in contact with Lara, a Greenpeace volunteer from the UK. We prepared many questions to ask her and we met her on a video conference. She made a presentation about what Greenpeace does and then she answered our questions. We loved it!

eTwinning 6th grade

 Hi again! This month we are working on very interesting activities as well. First of all, we received a secret box. To be able to open it, we had to solve 4 tasks in a cooperative way. Once we solved them, we opened the box and there was a message in a bottle! The message was a piece of advice about recycling properly. We wrote our own message and we sent it to our partners in Greece. We hope they like our message!

And last week we got a letter from a little grain of sand that was complaining about how dirty our beaches are. Right now we are writing to it and we are trying to find solutions to the pollution problem. We hope the little grain will answer us back!

HABITATS FOR OUR CRAZY ANIMALS

 In 4th grade we participate in an Etwinning project called THE EARTH CONSCIOUS GANG. It's about animals in danger of extinction in Europe. We are working in International teams and we are going to find the way to save these animals. 

One of the activities was to create an imaginary animal with the collaboration of all the members of each team. Once we had the animal, we needed a habitat for it to live. And this is what we did: designing a habitat. How are these places going to be? We'll describe them very soon.

eTwinning 6th grade

 

This January we are doing many different activities in our eTwinning project:

• -  A videoconference with students from Greece and from another school in Catalonia, where we write a story and the other students draw it.
• -   An escape room to be able to open a bottle that is travelling around Europe with our messages with ideas to help us avoid the plastic pollution in our schools.
• -  We are also creating rain meters to measure the rainfall from January to March.
• -   A pirate’s game: we are creating the cards to play a game against the pirates who have stolen part of our treasure.

MONKEY PUZZLE

 Hello everyone!

This past month, we read a book called "Monkey Puzzle". In the book there were animals. We discovered the name of the animals, their body parts, their size, what they have or haven't got, recorded short sentences ... but most importantly, we enjoyed learning!! Here you can see how we worked.

Hello everyone! 

C1 students used some minutes of the English classes to play games, read books, listen to some words and play with puzzles all of this, using English vocabulary! They helped each other and practised some English. Here you can see some of their activities :)

 It’s Halloween!!

Autumn has come and as usual the air is getting colder, the leaves are changing their colours and, of course, during this season one of our favourite days in the calendar, takes place, Halloween!!!

To celebrate it, C2 students learnt a poem called October and it was recited by the students of 3rd E this last 23rd of October on Ràdio Annexa.

Also, we want to show you these Jack O’Lanterns we made. They look great!!!

Trick or treat!!!

Hello C1, it is time for fun with spiders, bats, vampires, monsters and witches. Witches? Of course, we met one of the nicest witches of all times; she is Winnie the witch and her cat Wilbur! Do you remember the story? 

To celebrate this Halloween we made our own Jack O’ Lanterns, look at them! For sure, they had a great time!

eTwinning 6th grade

Last month we did many different activities on eTwinning: after working on eSafety and meeting the teachers, we played an exciting escape room to find out the coordinates of our underwater world location, and we found it!! It was fantastic!!

We also decided our group name, started designing our banner and we watched some tutorials to be able to use a programme to introduce ourselves. We keep learning a lot!

Welcome to a new school year in C2 level!

As the first days of school activity, students had made an "About me" flipbook in their notebooks.

We learned about their names, age, where do they live and their favourites.

Hello and welcome to a new year full of adventures and English!!

This September C1 students have been discovering colours and shapes. There are a lot and we can find them all around!

eTwinning 2020-2021 6th grade

 Hi! We are back in school again! And this school year we have a new eTwinning project in 6th grade: eTlantis, the Underwater World.

We are going to explore the oceans and seas, the different marine habitats and we will try to make a better world for all of us.

We started doing some activities about eSafety, and then we met the teachers from the different schools and countries we are going to work with: Slovenia, Greece, Italy, The Netherlands, Poland and Catalonia.

PICTURES FOR OUR HEROES

In these difficult moments, there are some people who are our true heroes because they risk their own lives to take care of us and to safe our lives: doctors, nurses and the cleaning and grocery shops staff who make sure we don't get infected and who provide us food.

This is why we drew all these pictures to show them we care and to say THANK YOU!

ALL ABOUT ME

This term, 2nd and 3rd graders have learnt how to introduce theirselves: their names, ages, living places, likes and dislikes and favourite things. They created their own lapbook named "ALL ABOUT ME" in which they add all this information. Then, they explained it to their classmates. You can see their introductions in the following videos, we hope you enjoy them!

Aladdin play C2

Last Thursday, 2nd and 3rd graders watched an English Play named “Aladdin”. We had so much fun dancing, singing and even getting on stage! Here you can see some photos and videos of the experience. We hope you enjoy them as much as we enjoyed the play!
